Who is the CORE 500 designed for?

The CORE 500 is designed for comprehensive exams where early detection is the priority, especially in primary care and for patients at higher risk for heart disease. 

It adds a real-time 3-lead ECG to high-fidelity audio, plus FDA-cleared AI detection of structural murmurs and AFib when paired with an Eko+ membership. 

It's at its best in deliberate exams, when the patient can stay still for ECG capture.

The CORE 500 and the Eko App are cleared for use on pediatric and adult patients. Learn more.

What are Eko AI and Eko+, and how does the Eko App integrate them into a patient exam?

Eko analysis software, or Eko AI, is FDA-cleared software that includes detection algorithms to assist clinicians in finding suspected abnormalities.

Access to Eko AI requires Eko+, a paid membership offered as a monthly or annual subscription that unlocks access to the Eko App’s full feature set.

When the Eko App is paired with a compatible digital stethoscope, Eko AI automatically checks for structural murmurs and/or AFib. To receive AI results, you must take a recording with the stethoscope or the Eko App. (The CORE 500 is required for AFib detection.)

The Eko App summarizes any findings, including potential structural murmurs, AFib, or other abnormalities detected. These findings aren’t a diagnosis, but are intended to aid the clinician in reaching a diagnosis accurately, quickly, and confidently. 

Can it be used with Bluetooth-enabled headphones or hearing aids?

Yes. The CORE 500 is wireless, so you can detach the chestpiece from the tubing and listen through Bluetooth-enabled headphones or earbuds. 

Hearing aid compatibility and sound quality vary by model, so check with your hearing aid manufacturer or audiologist.

Are Eko products HSA/FSA/CME eligible? How do I get reimbursed?

Stethoscopes from Eko may be eligible for HSA, FSA, or CME purchase and/or reimbursement.
