Abstract

This study introduces an inexpensive and scalable approach to monitoring arteriovenous fistulas and grafts (AVF/G) in dialysis patients. Using Eko’s Bluetooth-enabled digital stethoscope, clinicians can capture and permanently store audio clips of AVF/G sounds for playback, comparison, and remote review. The method simplifies long-term follow-up, offering a practical and cost-effective alternative to traditional imaging while enabling earlier detection of dysfunction.
