Eko CORE 500® Wins Prestigious Red Dot Design Award for Product Innovation

The Red Dot Award is one of the most respected design competitions in the world, honoring products that demonstrate outstanding quality, innovation, and functionality. Selected by an independent panel of experts, the CORE 500® was recognized for its advanced engineering, intuitive user experience, and seamless integration of clinical-grade auscultation and ECG capabilities in a compact device.

Launched in 2023, the CORE 500® is the first stethoscope to combine TrueSound™ audio technology, a full-color display with live ECG and phonocardiogram waveforms, and Bluetooth® connectivity to the Eko App for streamlined data management. Providers also have the option to pair the CORE 500® with Eko’s FDA-cleared AI software to support the detection of structural heart murmurs, atrial fibrillation (AFib), and low ejection fraction (Low EF).

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. The competition is divided into three disciplines in order to be able to properly assess the diversity in the field of design including awards for product design, brands and communication design, and design concept.

The Red Dot Design Award looks back on almost 70 years of history: in 1955, a jury came together for the first time to assess the best designs of the time. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr Peter Zec developed the name and brand of the award. Since then, the coveted “Red Dot” distinction has been the internationally recognised seal of outstanding design quality. The award winners are presented in the yearbooks, museums and online.
