Doctors can now buy a Bay Area startup's next generation stethoscope to wirelessly stream heart sounds to their smartphones and directly into their patients' electronic records.

Device maker Eko emerged last year from a startup program at UC Berkeley, the Stanford-affiliated StartX accelerator and Founder.org, a program created by Splunk founder Michael Baum.
